I am Benjamin McHale - an engineer, an active duty officer, and a dedicated educator. With over 8 years of tutoring experience, I specialize in helping students navigate rigorous coursework in High School and College Chemistry, Algebra, and Engineering.

My approach is grounded in the discipline I learned in the Navy: breaking down even the most difficult problems into clear, manageable steps. I know firsthand how overwhelming these subjects can feel, and my goal is to ensure every student leaves our session with clarity and confidence.

U.S. Naval Academy Graduate: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Naval Postgraduate School: M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
Active Duty Submarine Officer: Applying advanced technical principles in high-stakes environments daily.
8+ Years of Experience: Successfully tutoring students from high school to collegiate engineering levels.

My Teaching Philosophy

Preparation prevents anxiety. I structure each lesson to maximize learning, not just "get through" the hour.

Proactive Review: I encourage students to send materials in advance so we can dive straight into problem-solving.
Permanent Resources: You can focus on understanding rather than frantic note-taking. After every session, I provide a full PDF export of our notes and a video recording for your reference.
